THERAPEUTIC RIDING

Therapeutic riding is a type of rehabilitation. It is bonding with the horse, doing exercises on his back, and learning how to ride. 

MEDICAL BENEFITS

The movement of the spine of the horse improves the condition of the vertebra and back muscles of the rider.

The higher body temperature of the horse combined with its movement improves the blood circulation and relaxes the muscles.

 

Medical conditions which are most influenced: Cerebral Palsy, AutismCerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Behavior Disorder, Subluxation and Dislocation, Hypotonia, Hypertonia.

EMOTIONAL BENEFITS

The therapy mostly results in:

  • Better control of emotions

  • Confidence in one self’s abilities

  • Discipline

  • Developing communication skills

FOR WHOM IT IS BENEFICIAL?

Therapeutic riding is suitable for children over the age of 4, young people and adults.
